What can it do for you ?

Home page
Browse and read about diving stores around the world
There are over 5,000 scuba businesses included on Diving Finder. Each page is in the same format to include information about the business, opening hours and a link to their web site. Each business is categorised so you can find it in many different ways.

Join and add information about your diving business
Diving Finder have recently dropped all membership fees so you can now join and enter information about your diving business for free.

Is it easy to use ?

No – categorisation of pages is poor. For example there are 4 dive stores and only 1 dive magazine under Dive Magazines in Australia . Whereas Sport Diver magazine is categorised as a dive centre and a dive club so it will come up in results for dive clubs as well.

No – the search box has two buttons “go” and “search” which return different results. How do you know which one to hit?

No – The wiki update links are shown to everyone but can only used by a few select users.

Does it travel ?

We say

This is a huge directory of diving businesses that would benefit from clearer organisation and more rigorous categorisation. While it makes sense to indicate that a dive store teaches SSI or PADI courses, it makes it very difficult to find PADI or SSI if lots of dive stores are returned in a category for dive associations. (Note that PADI do not even get a page on Diving Finder but SSI do).

Because it is a wiki we can see there have been changes in the site recently. They are ongoing so we look forward to more improvements soon.
