Introduction
Scubamonster is a pretty front end to a number of usenet groups about diving with a blog and photo gallery function included.
What can it do for you ?

Scubamonster provides a nice front end to usenet rec.scuba forums with focus on Australia, UK and equipment forums.
It also has a blog, and a photo gallery function. You can sign up to other forums in the network on other subjects such as programming, pets or health.
Is it easy to use ?
It is quite easy to get lost away from the diving forums and not so easy to get back. That’s because it is front to may subjects of forums rather than specifically diving.
Does it travel ?
Probably.
Is your personal information secure ?
The privacy policy states that the company running the site will not pass on your details to anyone else unless required to by law. Unfortunately there is no mention anywhere on the site of what law might be applicable or what country your data is held in.
What do you agree to ?
The terms of service bind you to providing a true username and email address. You agree not to use the service to spam anyone and that since much of the content is third party that the company Advenet LLC cannot be held responsible if you are offended by any of it.
Users
Unknown. Since most of the content is from usenet groups it looks full of content but likely a low proportion from this site.
Editor's opinion
If you cannot make head nor tail of the google groups access to usenet messages then maybe this may be of interest. However the lack of any information about where your data is stored is of concern. We also could not work out how the blog and photo gallery could be used by you to publish to friends so feel this is lacking up to date techniques.
